Preview Your Survey
Always preview your survey before publishing to catch errors and ensure a good respondent experience.
Preview Options
SurveyReflex offers two ways to see your survey while building:
The Canvas
The Build tab’s canvas is a live preview — questions look the same while you edit them as they will for respondents, including your design, colors, fonts, and logo from the Design tab.
Full Preview
For the complete respondent experience:
- Click the “Preview” button in the builder header
- A full preview opens
- Navigate through the entire survey
- Test all interactions, including branching logic

Desktop View
See how your survey looks on a computer:
- Full-width display
- Standard navigation
- Complete layout
Mobile View
See how your survey looks on a phone:
- Simulated phone screen
- Mobile-optimized layout
- Touch-friendly interface
Switching Views
Toggle between views:
- Find the device icons in preview
- Click Desktop or Mobile icon
- Preview updates immediately
What to Test
Survey Flow
- Welcome screen displays correctly
- Questions appear in correct order
- Navigation buttons work
- Thank you screen appears at the end
Question Display
- All questions are readable
- Answer options are clear
- Help text is visible
- Required indicators show correctly
Conditional Logic
- Jump rules send you to the right question
- Questions show/hide based on answers
- All paths lead to completion
- No dead ends in logic
Note: AI follow-up questions are only generated on the live, published survey — they won’t appear in preview.
Visual Design
- Design colors are consistent
- Logo displays correctly
- Text is readable
- Spacing looks good
Mobile Experience
- Questions are readable on mobile
- Buttons are tappable
- Forms are easy to complete
- No horizontal scrolling
Interactive Testing
In preview mode, you can:

Making Changes
